Four Years After the Diagnosis: A Reflection | Episode 028/029

Universe, what’s good?! Today’s episode took two attempts to record, as I just hit my fourth Cancerversary. Why did I fail the first time? Well, you’ll have to check out the footage! While I hoped to release this episode on 11/11, I re-recorded on 11/18. Thank you for your patience and understanding listener, as November is a tough month!

It’s also a very special episode that features one of my first-ever clients who has served our country in the Air Force. Thank you, Sergeant Carter! You can find him on ReverbNation and Facebook.

While I still have a long way to go in my journey of healing, I’ve recognized that I’m no longer the person I was pre-diagnosis. Each day brings a new set of challenges which have caused many ups and downs. Physically, mentally, and emotionally I am working on embracing the “new normals” in my life. It’s great to be alive, and I’ve received a second chance to heal and make a difference.

Everyone has a different experience with breast cancer, and I hope that by the end of the episode, you feel a sense of peace if you are a fellow survivor. It is a blessing to have no evidence of the disease, but the road towards getting there has been both hellish and beautiful.

Don’t forget to rate, comment and share! I’d love to hear how your breast cancer diagnosis impacted you.
