The Power of Support with Chris Thompson | Episode 033

Universe, what’s good?! Welcome to episode 033! We are finally back, and boy, do we have a few announcements!

The podcast is now on YouTube, so please subscribe there as well!

Special thanks to Joe and Dilla’s Delights for making a girl feel special. Elsie, you’re amazing! It has been a magical birthday.

I was recently featured on The Art of Getting Your Sh*t Together podcast, discussing my cancer journey. Ch-ch-check it out!

The Young Survival Coalition’s yearly summit is from March 8th-10th, and I will be accompanying the University of Michigan as a Patient Advisor. Joe will also be attending as a co-survivor. Please let us know in the comments if you’re making it to Austin! If you are a stage 0-3 breast cancer patient within the last five years, ages 18-45, English-speaking, and not undergoing ovarian suppression, please contact MiHealthMiChoice@umich.edu as they want to hear from you! For your time and effort, they are offering a $25 cash reward. Don’t miss out!

The Fearless in Fuschia luncheon event is going down on February 15, 2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Perrysburg, Ohio. This event benefits The Victory Center to offer free programs and services to cancer survivors. Hope to see you there!

While many are shocked that I was 29 when I was diagnosed, imagine being 23. In this episode, I interview Chris Thompson, Petty Officer 3rd Class in the US Navy. You will hear about his story, how he found out about his diagnosis, and how support helped him.
